Keeping our kitchen stocked with healthy food for our family seems to be a full time job. Time consuming, but worth it. Our daughter isn’t a huge snacker, but it’s so nice to have food in the house that transports easily and is ready to grab-and-go on our way out the door. Toddlers with tummies on empty are disasters waiting to happen.
We’ve been having a beautiful summer in Wisconsin this year! It hasn’t been too hot and our weekends have mostly been rain free. But thankfully, we’ve gotten enough rain that we rarely have had to water our garden. It’s growing wonderfully!
One of our most favorite treats that Joanna and I make together are crumpets topped with Devonshire cream and lemon curd. It’s the perfect combination of tasty carbs, creamy goodness, and crisp lemony curd.
A craving for this tasty treat came over me the other day while I was shopping at Trader Joe’s. But they don’t carry Devonshire cream. That wasn’t going to stop me!
