Breakfast Yogurt & Granola | Whole Green Love

Okay, so I know yogurt and granola can seem kind of boring, but when you spice it up with a new twist or flavor combination you can fall in love all over again.

If you are working with good quality ingredients, you’ll be amazed at how good something as simple as yogurt and granola can taste.

When you stick with fresh, whole and real foods you’re not only saving yourself time in preparation, but you are giving yourself a gift of taste and health.

I was figuring out breakfast the other morning and not quite sure what I was going to make. I ended up throwing this yogurt combo together.

Breakfast Yogurt & Granola

1 c. plain full fat yogurt

1 handful of granola

1 handful of fresh raspberries

1 handful of fresh blueberries

1 small handful of chopped macadamia nuts

Maple Syrup (to taste, if needed)

Mix all of your ingredients together and enjoy!

I know…simple right?! But it is so yummy!

If you are short on time to make your own granola, you can find some great premade ones out there…just be sure to look at the ingredients list to make sure they aren’t sneaking anything past you. I’m using a great one right now that has amaranth, quinoa, coconut oil and chia seeds. It tastes great with the yogurt recipe above.

I LOVE macadamia nuts. I could literally eat them every day. They add a nice buttery crunch to this breakfast treat. You can eat this any time of day it’s that good. If you are looking for another delish macadamia nut recipe this macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi is quite good!

What this recipe reminded me of was to not forget to revisit old or simple food favorites. The nice thing with these kinds of recipes are you can add as much or as little of ingredients as you’d like.
