Green Baby Love: Crib Shoppin’ | Whole Green Love

20 Apr

Joanna and I are thrilled to be able to add a whole new dimension to our topics on WholeGreenLove. As I mentioned in our egg dying post, I’m currently pregnant! I’m pumped to be able to begin sharing all of my adventures of growing this baby and outfitting her with everything she’ll need as she begins her little life. Due date: August 26th. Yikes, that will come quick!

While I like to keep things as eco-conscious as possible in our decisions and purchases, especially when it comes to our dear, precious, growing little baby girl, it’s not always possible with a limited budget. And when it comes to crib furniture sets, dang, they can really get ya. Nic and I are blessed to have great family members who are giving us this beautiful crib set as a gift. We are so thankful!

Best of all, this furniture set is super eco-friendly! The woods used to make this furniture are from sustainable forests, the packaging it comes in is either recycled materials or biodegradable, and the finishes and glues are environmentally safe. BOOM! It doesn’t get any better than that. Actually it does. While we are getting this green dream of a crib set as a gift, at the time of writing this post this crib set is SERIOUSLY on sale. You can get this eco-friendly crib set (and others on the website) for less than some conventional sets I’ve seen. Check out the eco-friendly options here. also has other conventional furniture set options for less than I’ve seen advertised at other baby stores, in case you’re looking.

This is just the beginning of a whole new world of babyness (not a word, I made it up). Let me take you on an adventure of little baby Collins and our quest for an eco-friendly/stylish/practical/budget-conscious world we are creating for her. Today it started with a crib set, but we have lots to do to prepare for our little love bug! Stay tuned!
