Ginger Mint Margarita

How obvious am I that I like margaritas? A little obvious? Super obvious? I really do love them. And they aren’t just a summer thing for me. Oh no. We mix those babies up all. year. long.

You can find a few recipes on our blog for margaritas, like our Kombucha-rita: The Probiotic MargaritaKumquat Lime Margaritas, or this very basic version.

A new obsession of mine though, is the Moscow Mule – so refreshing any time of year! Have you checked out the recipe on our blog yet?

The other night I had plans to make a Moscow Mule. I had purchased the mint, limes, and made sure we were stocked up with ginger beer. Guess what I forgot to check on? The vodka. We were out. So I thought, why not give my favorite liquor (tequila) a try?!

To keep the randomness going, I had also purchased organic grenadine, so I added that to my concoction as well. I love grenadine, but it’s typically made with corn syrup and red food dye. The real deal is made with pomegranate juice and sugar. You can find it here.

For some reason, I love this combo. I don’t think tequila and ginger are a typical pairing, but I totally love it! If you’ve been avoiding ginger beer because of it being too “gingery” or spicy, please give this drink a whirl. There are enough other delicious liquids to calm your gingery fears.

Cheers!
