Recipes with Fall Flavor

29 Sep

Fall is definitely in the air and it is my FAVORITE time of year!! I can also say that this fall is different now that I’ve seen SNOW coming down in SEPTEMBER in Jackson! Ha! It has stuck on the mountaintops, but warms up nicely during the day in town. I’ve found that dressing in layers is essential because you can go from toasty warm to shivery cold in a matter of minutes when the sun goes down. The fall air in Jackson is crisp and clean; with a hint of pine…it’s AWESOME! We are using our wood-burning stove for the first time tonight! Eek! I love fires! I could literally keep writing about all the wonderful reasons I love this time of year, but I know you love it too for the same reasons.

Can you tell me why it always says to dd the fruits & nuts last? when I do this it’s hard to incorporate them evenly with my arthritis. So I add them to the bowl and mix just before I add the dry ingredients. I don’t notice any difference in how the cookies turn out but I was wondering why recipes always say this order. Thanks and I’m going to make these this week !And I think I’ll add some nuts! Yummy !
